In order to protect your data during transfer, we use encoding methods (SSL) via HTTP, in accordance with the latest technology.

  • browser type/version
  • operating system used

  • hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)

This usage data forms the basis of statistical, anonymous evaluations, making trends recognisable with which we can improve our range.

  • Contents data (e.g. text entered, photos, videos)
  • Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times)
  • Meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).

Purpose of processing data

  • Providing an online range, functions and contents
  • Answering contact enquiries and communicating with users
  • Safety measures
  • Measuring reach/marketing

Making contact

When someone makes contact with us (e.g. via a contact form, by email, phone or social media), the user’s details are processed to manage the contact enquiry. User information may be stored in a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM System) or similar enquiry management to make potential follow-up questions more efficient to process.

We delete enquiries when they are no longer needed. We check this every two years. Statutory archiving obligations also apply.

Collecting access data and log files

Based on legitimate interest for the purpose of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. f. GDPR, we or our hosting provider will collect information about every access to our server where this service is located (so-called server log files). Access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, data quantity transmitted, a notification about successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (page visited previously), IP address and the requesting provider.

For security reasons (e.g. to resolve abuse or fraud), log file information is stored for a maximum of 7 days, and is then deleted. Data that needs to be stored longer as evidence is exempt from deletion until the final resolution of the relevant incident.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google” in the following). Google Analytics uses what is called “Cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and that enable analysis of how you’re using the website. The information generated by the cookie about how you’re using the website is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU Member States or in other states beyond the European Economic Area that are party to the agreement.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to generate reports about website activities for website operators and to provide other services connected with website and internet use. Google may also pass on this information to third parties if prescribed by law or if these third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics with other data.

You can prevent the installation of cookies using the relevant setting in your browser software (browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics); we would like to point out, however, that you may not be able to use the full extent of all of this website’s functions in this case. By using this website, you agree to Google processing the data collected about you in the way described above and for the purpose explained herein.
